About IGNITE
What does IGNITE Events do?
IGNITE Events is a Watford-based live event production company. We provide sound, lighting, LED video walls, staging and set design, video and camera, live streaming and hybrid production, technical management and crew for conferences and large-scale events across the UK, Europe and worldwide.
How long has IGNITE been producing events?
We have been in live events since 1992 and producing conferences since 2007. IGNITE Events Ltd is part of the IGNITE Group of Companies.
Do you do small events?
Yes. Many of our events are for 20 to 150 people: board meetings, seminars, workshops, AGMs and regular training days, including at venues you have already booked. We scale the crew and kit to the room, so you only pay for what the event needs.
How big are the events you produce?
Audiences from 10 to 20,000, from board meetings and seminars to arena productions. We have produced events at ExCeL London, the Coventry Building Society Arena, bp pulse LIVE and the NEC in Birmingham, the Edinburgh International Conference Centre and major hotel venues.
Do you work outside the UK?
Yes. We deliver events across the UK and Europe, working in Europe roughly twice a month, and worldwide through local partners in Dubai, Australia, India, the USA, Canada and Singapore. Europe and worldwide.
How quickly will you reply to an enquiry?
We reply to enquiries the same day. For anything urgent, call 020 7754 5453.
Are you insured?
Yes. We hold £5 million public liability insurance, which can be increased where a client or venue requires it. Certificates are available on request.
FAQs
Costs and quotes
How much does event production cost?
It depends on the room, the audience size, the number of days and what the event needs to achieve. We send an itemised quote that shows what is included and what is optional, so you can compare like for like.
Why do AV quotes vary so much?
Quotes that look similar often aren't. A cheaper quote may leave out proper power distribution, rigging done properly, enough crew or pre-production time. Our quotes show these, so you can see the risk you're covering. Read: The £100k mistake hiding in most AV quotes.
Can you review a quote from another supplier?
Yes. Send it with your enquiry and we'll tell you what looks missing and what looks like more than you need.
FAQs
Risk and contingency
What happens if equipment fails during the event?
We plan for it, and a technical manager on site makes decisions quickly and calmly. A quote that assumes nothing will fail isn't a production plan.
Do you provide risk assessments and RAMS?
Yes. We prepare risk assessments for every production and provide RAMS (risk assessments and method statements) on request for your venue or procurement team.
Will you visit the venue first?
For most events, yes. A site visit or technical recce lets us check power, rigging points, access, sightlines and load-in times with the venue before we finalise the plan.
FAQs
Corporate and procurement
Are you big enough for a large corporate event?
We produce events for audiences up to 20,000, including arena productions, and scale crew and equipment to each event. We have been in live events since 1992.
Are you procurement-ready?
Yes: company and VAT details, insurance certificates, risk assessments, RAMS on request, NDAs and a capability statement. Procurement and capability.
Can we see your facility?
Yes. Book a visit to our Watford production base and broadcast studio. Book a visit.
FAQs
Event agencies
Will you approach our clients?
No. We never approach an agency's clients, during or after a project, and if your client contacts us directly we refer them back to you.
Can you work under our brand?
Yes. Our crew can work as part of your team, under your brand and dress code where required, and we stay out of client conversations unless you ask us in.
Can you turn around a proposal for a pitch?
Yes. We know agency timelines and reply the same day; tell us your pitch date and we'll work to it.
What do you supply?
Anything from equipment hire and crew to complete technical production: sound, lighting, LED, staging, video, streaming, technical management, storage and transport.
FAQs
Speaker-led events
Have you worked with big-name speakers?
Yes. We have provided production for events featuring speakers including Tony Robbins, Bill Clinton, Tony Blair, Richard Branson and many more. Naming them does not imply endorsement.
Can you cue music and lighting to the speaker?
Yes. Walk-ons, music beds, applause moments, exercises and lighting changes are planned in the running order and called live.
Can you handle product launches and big moments?
Yes. We rehearse launches, walk-ons and key moments so screens, music and lighting land exactly when the speaker needs them.
Do you travel with tours?
Yes. We support speakers and promoters across the UK and in Europe. Europe and worldwide.
