How we work

From first call to post-event review, you know what happens next

A clear process, one named technical lead, and planning that assumes something might go wrong, so that on the day it doesn't show.

Running order

From first call to final applause

Seven clear steps, every event, whether it's a 50-person seminar or an arena. One accountable production partner throughout.

Our seven-step process, in a cycle: 1 Enquiry; 2 Call; 3 Site visit or recce; 4 Proposal; 5 Production planning; 6 Show day; 7 Post-event review01Enquiry02Call03Site visitor recce04Proposal05Productionplanning06Show day07Post-eventreview
  1. Enquiry

You tell us the date, venue, audience and what the day needs to achieve. We reply the same day.

  2. Call

A senior producer talks it through with you: format, running order, priorities and budget range.

  3. Site visit or recce

We survey the venue with its team: power, rigging points, access, sightlines and load-in times.

  4. Proposal

A clear written proposal and itemised quote, with what is and isn't included spelled out.

  5. Production planning

Technical plan, running order, crew schedule, content checks and risk assessments. RAMS on request.

  6. Show day

We build, test and rehearse before doors, then run the show with a technical manager in charge.

  7. Post-event review

We go through what worked and what to change, and hand over any recordings and files.

Contingency

What's in a quote built to survive a failure

Two quotes can list the same kit and still be very different. These are the things we price in, and the things to check in any quote you receive.

Power

Clean power, correct load planning and protected circuits. Poor power distribution is a common cause of screen and audio failures.

Rigging

Rated hardware, correct rigging points and proper documentation.

Crew depth

Enough experienced people to build, operate and fix problems quickly.

Pre-production time

Room drawings, signal diagrams, rehearsal plans, show flow and contingency planning, done before the truck arrives.

FAQs

Questions buyers ask us

What happens if equipment fails during the event?

We plan for it, and a technical manager on site makes decisions quickly and calmly. A quote that assumes nothing will fail isn't a production plan.

Do you provide risk assessments and RAMS?

Yes. We prepare risk assessments for every production and provide RAMS (risk assessments and method statements) on request for your venue or procurement team.

Will you visit the venue first?

For most events, yes. A site visit or technical recce lets us check power, rigging points, access, sightlines and load-in times with the venue before we finalise the plan.

How much does event production cost?

It depends on the room, the audience size, the number of days and what the event needs to achieve. We send an itemised quote that shows what is included and what is optional, so you can compare like for like.

Why do AV quotes vary so much?

Quotes that look similar often aren't. A cheaper quote may leave out proper power distribution, rigging done properly, enough crew or pre-production time. Our quotes show these, so you can see the risk you're covering. Read: The £100k mistake hiding in most AV quotes.

Can you review a quote from another supplier?

Yes. Send it with your enquiry and we'll tell you what looks missing and what looks like more than you need.

I have worked with a few companies who have just gone through the motions but IGNITE are a business and an AV business that will take your event to the next level. They're flexible, professional, full of ideas and they get the job done. You don't need to be second-guessed, you don't need to look over their shoulder, they will deliver it and that extra ten per cent.
